So, I’m going to start off with, when we pulled into Fontana Camp ground we were all relieved!
We couldn’t wait to set up the tent so we could sleep! I had been awake already for an entire day. Talk about being tired!
Lol
When we pulled into the camp grounds we were greeted quickly by our neighbors.
They all were really cool.
And it being my first time camping I was kinda worried about it but they made me feel better about the entire thing. They had this community thing going so the atmosphere was perfect though.
I wish we could have gotten to know them a lot better. For some reason not everyone agreed 100% with joining the “community” so we were kinda distant a lot of the time.
Which sure, I could have gone and hung out but, I don’t know, it just didn’t seem right leaving the bros.
Jose and I went over one night and hung out with them around the fire. Which was really cool. We didn’t want anyone to think we were jerks. Lol
But of course that’s not the only reason we went.
Lol
So when we got in it was just a meet and greet pretty much.
I didn’t even get to freaking sleep either because we had to register for Minis on the Dragon.
Which is the reason why we went to North Carolina.
It’s a event they had every year were a bunch of mini cooper clubs gather to drive this crazy road called the Dragon. 318 curves in 11 miles on this insane mountain!
It is sick!
But ill get to that in my next blog!
Chapter 2: first day in the mountains
May 6, 2010Last Day in the mountains
May 2, 2009Our Smoky Moutain Adventure is coming to a close and it was probably one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. It feels awesome to be away from the stress of home. This is definately something im glad I did. We woke up and went on an ice cream run into town with most of the mini owners. Probably 50 mini of them driving down. Then we went to Bojangles which! A chicken joint. The food was great but I must say the best part was the bet we made. Felixs language was getting a little rough so we made a bet that we all couldn’t go two days without swearing. 10 buck per person. Though I was the one who can up with the whole ideas sadly I was the first to go. I missed a picture moment and said shit. Within the next 15 minutes were all out. A very sad competition indeed. We just got back from the farewell dinner which was delicious! Never in my life have I ever tasted such a magical dish. Now we are about make the most epic fire ever!! My first smore of the trip!! HECKS YEA!!!!

Artavius in the mountains
May 1, 2009So i have been in the Smoky Moutains and I must say it’s a pretty awesome experience. Though I am absolutely terrified of heights I can look past that for the sights are simply amazing! The roads are ridiculous! Theres always that fear of flying off of the mountain “especially with marcs driving” lol Don’t tell him I said that! But it’s all good.Having a great time. Can’t wait to see what else the mountains have to offer.
